The mentorship subcommittee for the ENS 2024 meeting will be hosting mentorship opportunities throughout the ENS Development Meeting. These events are designed to support trainee interaction with established investigators in our scientific community. For these events, interested mentees can opt in to participating in group or 1:1 settings.

Dedicated Group Mentoring will be:

Mentoring Breakout session: March 22, 2021 from 11:30-12:30pm.

1:1 mentoring sessions will be arranged by mentee/mentor pairs.

Group session: 4-5 trainees will be selected per group, on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Advancing translationally relevant ENS neuroscience (and making it as a physician-scientist) - Ash Gosain and Elyanne Ratcliffe

  2. Tools and technologies: optogenetics, viral tracing and intravital imaging – Pieter Vanden Berghe and Meenakshi Rao

  3. So you want to start your own lab…what do do and what not to do  – Robert Heuckeroth and Marlene Hao

  4. Single cell ‘omics and gene regulatory networks - Julia Ganz and Michelle Southard-Smith

One-on-one sessions times will be arranged by the mentee and mentors.

We suggest meeting over breakfast, coffee breaks or dinner activities. Please sign up by March 18 so you can be paired with a mentor. We will provide contact information so you can arrange your own meetings.
